Dance group

Alunelul

Alunelul was created to promote Romanian culture and preserve it in the minds and hearts of younger Romanian generations in the United States. Alunelul—one of the first traditional dances Romanian children learn—lends the group its name.

Dancers grow up within the group, moving from its youngest members into Colleyville's older Romanian folk dance ensembles as they mature.

Dance ensemble

Tricolorii Veseli

Juniori & Seniori

Tricolorii Veseli dances in two groups, Seniori and Juniori, and both take the festival stage. Several of their performances close with a traditional hora the whole audience is invited to join.

Tricolorii Veseli Juniori is a Romanian folk dance ensemble for children and young people roughly ages 9 to 18, continuing the tradition established by the community's adult Romanian dancers.

The group performs regional dances from across Romania and has taken part in the Romanian Food Festival for many years running.
